Kyle Barbour, BA, CSCS, USAW-SP
Kyle Barbour is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as, a Certified Sports Performance Coach by the USA Weightlifting Organization.
Prior to joining the Athercare staff Kyle worked in Professional Baseball for three years as a Strength and Conditioning coach with the Arizona Diamondbacks Organization. While working in baseball Kyle had the opportunity to work as a Strength and Conditioning coach with the MLB International Envoy program overseeing the development of Strength and Conditioning programs in Italy, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Kyle also spent time at the University level working as a Strength and Conditioning intern/coach at the University of Notre Dame.
Kyle is a native of San Diego and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness, Nutrition and Health from San Diego State University. Kyle currently lives in Oakland with his wife Camila. |

Dr. Helena Edith Weil, Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Weil, a licensed clinical psychologist, has been involved in Sports Psychology, Pain Management and Behavioral Health interventions for over 25 years. For the last 20 years, she has worked with Dr. Donald Chu at AtherCare helping both amateur and professional athletes achieve high levels of peak performance.
At the same time, Dr. Weil maintains an active practice in pain management working with injured individuals dealing with pain and disability. She utilizes a variety of non-pharmacological therapies including: Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Biofeedback, EMDR, Hypnosis and Nutritional approaches to assist in recovery.
Dr. Weil also directs Health and Wellness programs for individuals and corporate clients. |
