Helena Edith Weil, Ph.D.
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Helena Edith Weil is a California licensed Psychologists specializing in Sports Psychology, pain management and behavioral health interventions. She is a Senior Fellow in the Biofeedback Society of America, a Diplomat in the National Institute of Sports Psychology and a Qualified Medical Evaluator.
Dr. Weil has worked with Dr. Donald Chu at Ather Sports Injury Clinic for over 20 years. Together they have helped both amateur and professional athletes achieve high levels of peak performance.
Dr. Weil’s approach includes concentration, confidence, control and commitment - considered the main mental qualities important for successful performance.

These techniques of relaxation, centering and mental imagery taught by Dr. Weil help athletes achieve these mental qualities and assist an athlete in achieving their optimal performance.
Dr. Weil maintains an active practice in pain management working with individuals who are injured and experiencing issues with pain and disability. She utilizes a variety of non-pharmacological therapies including: Cognitive Behavioral treatment, biofeedback, EMDR, hypnosis and nutritional approaches to assist in recover.
Dr. Weil works with each individual to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that is goal-directed and enables the client to return to an optimal level of health and well-being.

We tailor each program to the needs of the individual client. Most insurance companies cover our programs. We treat patients in the California State Workers Compensation program and the Federal Department of Labor. In addition, we treat TriWest and Medicare patients as well as private clients.
